The laboratory has two NMR spectrometers operating at a proton resonance frequency of 400 MHz and 600 MHz, respectively. The 600 MHz NMR spectrometer is equipped with QCI CryoProbe (enabling simultaneous decoupling on multiple nuclei, such as, 13C, 31P and 15N) with cold preamplifiers that increase the sensitivity by a factor of four, being specially devoted to the determination of structures of biomolecules or small molecules at low concentrations and metabolomic studies. The 400 MHz NMR spectrometer is equipped with a TXI probe-head with inverse detection, a BBFO broadband, and a HR-MAS probe-heads, this latter enabling the acquisition of high-resolution NMR spectra of semi-solid (e.g.: paste, gels, resins, etc.) or liquid samples, from biological, organic or inorganic sources.
