Learning outcomes |

                                At the conclusion of the Course Unit the student must have acquired the following learning outcomes:
  • Understand the fundamental concepts of probability theory, descriptive statistic and inferential statistic;
  • Show the importance and utility of the theory of probabilities to solve real-life problems;
  • Acquire skills to use the statistic in solving practical problems and to comment the results obtained through the data analysis;
  • Acquire the ability to use a software to solve problems in the context of Sport Sciences;
  • Interpret and analyze the sports results presented by organizations that develop physical activity;
  • Demonstrate ability to select, formulate and apply the contents of exploratory data analysis in the analysis of sports data.

                                        The classes will be fundamentally of a theoretical-practical nature, combining the exposition of the programmatic contents, their discussion and application in practical works. Previous notes/slides will be provided for the student to do a preliminary study. An exposition of the main contents will be made during the classes and the most theoretical contents will be presented using practical and concrete examples in the field of Sport Sciences. The evaluation of this UC includes the accomplishment of 2 tests of knowledge evaluation.
