Development of skills in the following areas and topics: Urban Hydrologic Systems and Water Level Control; Environmental and Water Quality Issues; Waterfront and Safe Public Spaces; Water Urbanism; Design within Floods in European Cities; Scour and scour countermeasures at bridge piers and abutments.

Conteúdos programáticos:
1. Urban Hydrologic Systems and Water Level Control: Explanation of urban hydrologic systems and their role in managing water levels; Discussion on methods of water level control in urban areas.
2. Environmental and Water Quality Issues: Overview of environmental challenges associated with urbanization and water quality issues; Identification of key factors impacting water quality in urban environments.
3. Waterfront and Safe Public Spaces: Importance of waterfront areas and the need to ensure safety in public spaces; Strategies for designing waterfront areas to enhance safety and accessibility.
4. Water Urbanism: The concept of water urbanism and its relevance in urban design; examples of water-centric urban development projects.
5. Design within Floods in European Cities: Discussion on flood management strategies specific to European cities; Case studies highlighting successful flood-resistant design in Europe.
6. Scour and scour countermeasures at bridge piers and abutments.
