Willian S. Panni is a postdoctoral fellow within the scope of the iMAD Project - Improving the Modelling of Anomalous Diffusion and Viscoelasticity: solutions to industrial problems, developed at the Center for Mathematics and Applications (NOVA Math) of the NOVA School of Science and Technology (NOVA FCT), with a research grant funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). His postdoctoral research focuses on the formulation of mathematical models for complex viscoelasticity problems, using equations with non-integer order derivatives or integro-differential equations, as well as on the development, analysis, and implementation of efficient numerical methods with time-refinement strategies, aiming at applications in rheological flows and industrial contexts. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Applications from the University of Beira Interior (2025), with a thesis focused on the study of evolutionary biharmonic differential equations with nonstandard growth conditions. He holds a Master''s degree in Computational Modeling in Science and Technology from Fluminense Federal University (2020), where he investigated the existence of weak solutions, asymptotic behaviour, numerical analysis, and computational simulations in the area of partial differential equations with variable exponents. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (2014), with an emphasis on Mathematical Modeling. During his undergraduate studies, he took part in two scientific initiation projects: the first, entitled Mathematical Modeling in High School, and the second, Control Theory: Basic Techniques and Application to Optimal Control Problems of Non-Conservative Physical Systems. In his final degree project, he studied the Brachistochrone problem with diayipation, using Control Theory. His research interests are mainly in the areas of Analysis, Functional Analysis, Differential Equations, Integro-Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, and Numerical Simulations.
