    Francisco Miguel Pereira Brardo Ferreira is assistant professor at the University of Beira Interior. In 1996, he graduated in Applied Physics-Optical Branch with a specialization in Optometry and in 2010 completed his PhD in Physics at the University of Beira Interior. Actually, he is director of the Clinical and Experimental Center in Vision Sciences and researcher at the Center for Research in Health Sciences (CICS) at the University of Beira Interior. The research area is related to Health Sciences with an emphasis on the primary visual health care field. He is interested in the anterior ocular segment and related diseases, ocular optical coherent tomography, electroretinography and neurophysiology of the vision and special contact lens fitting. Currently, he supervises two PhD thesis and is a member of the editorial board of the journal Acta Scientific Ophthalmology and a reviewer of some journal related to Vision Science.
