    Ana Paula Matias Gama obtained a degree in Management (1994) and Master (2001) both in Management from the University of Beira Interior. The PhD in finance (2006), and the Habilitation degree also in Finance in 2020, were obtained from ISCTE ¿ Lisbon University Institute. Currently, she is an associate professor with accreditation at the Management and Economics Department (DGE) of the University of Beira Interior (UBI), where she has been teaching courses on corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance, and accounting. She is a researcher at the Research Center of Business Sciences (NECE). She is a reviewer of several peer-reviewed international journals and an evaluator of master''s and PhD theses. Her research interests include capital structure, corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance, corporate governance, microcredit, and family firms. Her publications include several articles in peer-reviewed international journals, as well as proceedings of professional meetings, and books.
