Eugénia Pedro holds a Master in Marketing and a PhD in Management from the University of Beira Interior. She is a researcher and the Organizational Management Research Line coordinator at NECE - Center for Research in Business Sciences, University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. She integrates the ERASMUS+ START CIRCULAR project "Integrated entrepreneurship management model for circular economy". Between 2019 and 2022, she integrated the U-Value project "The impact of Higher Education Institutions on the quality of life of their regions", funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), Portugal, and between 2015 and 2018, she was a research fellow at the same foundation. Her current research interests are about intellectual capital, efficiency, sustainability and quality of life with a special focus on higher education and regional development. Her publications include articles published in several leading scientific journals and chapters in books on these themes. She is also a member of editorial and reviewer boards of international journals. In 2019, she has won an Emerald Literati Award.
