A call is open for the award of 1 (one) Research Grant (BI) for a Master's student within the scope of the Research Project entitled "Resilient Mediterranean with a holistic approach to sustainable agriculture: Addressing challenges of water, soil, energy and biodiversity” (ref. PRIMA/0010/2021) funded exclusively national funds through FCT and taking place at the the FibEnTech and Chemistry Department of the University of Beira Interior.

Requirements for admission and hiring:
Hold a BSc degree in the scientific area of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and the like, and meet the conditions to be enrolled in a cycle of studies leading to the Master degree or enrolled in a non-academic degree course. The proof of registration in the Master degree or in a course not confering an academic degree is required before the fellowship contractualization. The scholarship holder must have the competence and conditions to fully develop the work plan (see item 4 of this Announcement)
According to Article 6 of the Regulation for Research Fellowships of University of Beira Interior – RBIUBI, the BI awarded to graduates who are enrolled in courses that do not lead to an academic degree can only be awarded to those who do not exceed, with the execution of the scholarship contract in question, including possible renewals, a cumulative period of two years in this type of research felloship, followed or interpolated.
According to Article 6 of the Regulation for Research Fellowships of University of Beira Interior – RBIUBI, the BI awarded to graduates who are enrolled in courses that do not lead to an academic degree can only be granted for a maximum period of one year.
