Profile of the programme

The second cycle in Clinical and Health Psychology structured according to the EUROPSY aims to prepare students for independently professional practice as a Psychologist in a specialty area or for further study in a 3rd cycle. Aims at developing basic competencies of use evaluation, intervention and research methods, techniques and instruments; deeply understand theoretical models constructs and processes; interpret and communicate results; understand and apply quantitative and qualitative methodologies; compromise with deontological and ethical rules in Psychology; critically analyse scientific documents; - It also aims at developing and consolidating cross-curricular competencies: make decisions, proficiently and critically analyse, integrate and apply scientific information; develop intra and interpersonal competencies; use self-oriented learning strategies and manage time; use oral and written skills; advanced use of instrumental and laboratorial technical resources. |

At the Clinical and Health Psychology 2nd cycle of studies end the student should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
Specific skills: - Apply Psychology theoretical models. - Interpret, in a reasoned and critical way, Psychology scientific production - Deeply understand constructs and processes, at individual, group and organizational levels of analysis - Identify individuals and / or groups and / or organizations relevant characteristics through the use of methods, techniques, and psychological assessment instruments. - Apply, in a reasoned manner, methods and techniques of psychological intervention. - Develop and implement, in a reasoned manner, plans / programs of psychological intervention in specific, wide and multidisciplinary contexts. - Interpret and communicate the results of the evaluation and / or intervention psychological process. - Plan and implement a research in Psychology and communicate their results. - Understand and apply quantitative and / or qualitative research methodologies. - Compromise with deontological and ethical rules in Psychology.
