Learning outcomes The goal of this curriculum unit is the development, presentation and discussion of a scientific research work, based on bibliographic search on a given subject in the Chemical area, within the framework of the doctoral thesis.
At the end of this curriculum unit the student should be able to: Demonstrate capacity for critical analysis Search, treat, organize, discuss and transmit information on a specific topic of his specialized field of research Design research work independently in a specific area of chemistry.
Syllabus The Research Seminar in Chemistry consists on an oral presentation in the context of the doctoral thesis, containing objectives, state of the art and research methodologies to develop.
Main Bibliography Each student should look for the pertinent bibliography related to the work he is carrying out with the help of his supervisor.
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Teaching this curriculum unit consists on a bibliographic search on the topic to develop in the doctoral thesis, expecting a student's active participation in the learning process, which will allow a greater development of his reasoning capabilities. The student should submit a research work that integrates current knowledge with the objectives to be attained during the doctoral work in order to know how to discuss published data and decide on the original work to develop later.
