Learning outcomes |
This course unit objectives are: 1. To apply the acquired knowledge, skills and attitudes in a real working environment. 2. To promote the interface between scientific research and patient based activities. After the successful completion of the Introduction to the Pharmaceutical Sciences Course unit the student should be able to: 1. Identify the role of the pharmacist in the community/retail pharmacy and the hospital pharmacy. 2. Organize and manage a community/retail pharmacy. 3. Provide advice and counseling in pharmacotherapy, promote health education and healthy lifestyles. 4. Know the running and management of a hospital pharmacy service. 5. Develops "magistral" and officinal preparations and formulas. 6. Conduct pharmacovigilance. 7. Find information, synthesize it, organize it, present it to an audience and discuss it. 8. Aplly the scientific method to solve problems.
