Learning outcomes General objectives:
Familiarize students with various aspects of the Greek and Roman cultures, in order to provide a better understanding of various aspects of contemporary society and literature in particular.
Syllabus Programmatic modules:
1. The transmission of the Classical Culture.
2. The Greek Culture - main historical, ideological and cultural items.
3. The Latin Culture - tradition, originality and autonomy.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Teaching methods: classes of exposition and application of contents; written exercises and oral reflections from texts provided by the teacher about the programmatic topics addressed.
The students will be evaluated periodically in two moments of the semester, through the accomplishment of two written tests, and of continuous worksheets by their participation during the classes.
