Learning outcomes 1. To identify and to characterize the main aspects of Hebrew history and culture; 2. To identify and to analyze the basic concepts of Judaism; 3. To identify ant to question the main problems of the «Jewish Question».
Syllabus 1. On being a Jew; 2. Jews in Portugal; 3. Inquisition and New Christians; 4. The Hidden Jews and the Marranos Diaspora; 5. The Enlightenment and the «Jewish Question»; 6. The Shoah and the State of Israel.
