Learning outcomes |
In this course unit it is intended that students integrate the acquired knowledge and develop capabilities in order to prepare a research project by selecting a nowadays theme, that characterize the state of the art, that identify issues of concern. At the end of the course unit students should be able to identify issues of concern and formulate the problems; to understand the scientific method in order to prepare a research project leading to a doctoral thesis; to have capacity to plan, to establish tasks and to develop a task schedule.

This curriculum Unit does not have a specific syllabus, it will be the result of continued contact of the student with the Scientific Advisor, with other doctoral students and teachers with whom he interacts, and seminars and conferences in which he participates.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
This curricular unit follows with the method by Tutorial Guidance. Most of the work is developed through the student's individual work. In the end it will be done a seminar where students should present and defend their research project in front of a panel of evaluators consisting of the Course Committee and possibly other institution members. The approval implies the presentation and defense of the project .
