Learning outcomes Acquire specialized training in fields directly related to the research work to be developed.

This course offers the opportunity for students to complete their training in areas of expertise relevant to the lines of research to be developed. This training may take the form of clinical or laboratory internships, carried out inside or outside this institution (the accreditation of which will be decided by the Course Commission). This optional course unit is characterized by its flexibility, always trying to adapt the content of the training to the needs of each doctoral student.
Syllabus This training may be carried out in health facilities or laboratories affiliated with the University or others (whose accreditation will be decided by the Course Commission).
Main Bibliography Variable according to the characteristics of the desired training.
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Score between 0 and 20 points defined per rotation, in a total of 40 hours, in a recognized Laboratory Unit, related to the general area of ??the PhD.
The final evaluation will be based on the following criteria:
a) Student Report (AR) indicating: techniques approached and trained; its reasoning; main difficulties encountered; and constructive critical reflection on the relevance of the techniques for his thesis work (0-20 values);
b) Evaluation by the Rotation Officer (ARO) of the student's practical performance in the laboratory rotation, according to specific grid (0-20 points)

The final grade (CF) will be calculated as follows:
CF = RA x 0.5 + AO x 0.5
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
