Learning outcomes |
To allow the student, under supervision (s) supervisor (s), to develop all the phase argument of the thesis work, including discussion of results and evaluation of contribution to the state of the art, with the disclosure of the results. 1. Demonstrate skills, knowledge and skills for independent practice of scientific research in the field of Sports Sciences; 2. Demonstrate skills in writing and presenting the results to the scientific community.

Syllabus |
1. Labour tutorial on developing the thesis project focusing on stages of fieldwork, and discussion and analysis of results. 2. Initiation to writing and science communication to present the main results in journals with peer review, and specialty conferences.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The teaching methodology is based on an interactive learning based on a tutorial orientation provided by the doctoral project supervisor (s), which includes the following methodologies: (i) reading of articles, (ii) active learning from bibliographic resources , (iii) attendance at seminars, (iv) attendance at congresses presenting papers, (v) completion of courses to acquire and refine scientific competences, with indication of the advisor (s) and the Advisory Committee. Although the tutorial orientation is the teaching methodology to be considered, the Scientific Committee of Course promotes at the end of the first semester a presentation and discussion of the work developed by each student, with the presence of fellow students and other 3rd cycle students of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences. The evaluation of the thesis contemplates the presentation and public discussion of it, before a jury proposed by the Scientific Council of FCSH. The regulation of the 3rd cycle course.
