Learning outcomes With the present program of the Curricular Unit, it is intended to develop up-to-date practical / scientific knowledge on strategic topics in production management with a view to optimizing processes, both in industrial companies and service companies.
Analyze and apply tools and methodologies used in the management of Operations in the context of optimization of processes, with special emphasis to those existing within the Lean Philosophy.

It is also expected that the student will be able to understand the specificities inherent in each distribution channel, to explore the factors that contribute to the existence and functioning of any point of sale in conditions of efficient distribution, to relate the layout of the establishment with the type and philosophy of the point of sale and understand the need to update it, due to new lifestyles and consumer taste. Franchising as a business expansion and internationalization strategy is also studied.
