Learning outcomes |
The Discipline aims to identify the power flows within the European Union institutional network; to expose the specificities of the relationship between the Union and the member-States and to reflect upon the levels of competences and attributions as far as the European public policies are concerned.
The work developed within the framework of this course unit provides a solid and consistent theoretical preparation which enables the students to acquire the capacity of understanding the European Union institutional tissue; to identify the multiple political and administrative layers which characterise the governance of the national units which together form the European Union; to recognise the attributions which characterise each level of competence of the European Union government system; to understand the dynamics of the of European economic and political integration; to be familiar with the characteristic concepts and technical vocabulary regarding the course of European Studies.
