to promot the reflexion upon concepts, authors, theories and orientations of geopolitic and strategic though. To discuss the main geopolitic questions and its reprecussions at global level, through the critical presentation of thematic literature and other sources of information.
Upon successful completion of the module, the student is able to: Understand the main theoretical and empirical principles of geopolitics and strategic. Recognize the roll of strategic and geopolitics in multidimensions decisions. Analyze contemporary issues that are on international agenda.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Classes are divided into lectures and practical classes. Nevertheless, it is intended that the theoretical classes dialogue and participation, involving the students in the discussion of the proposed themes. For this purpose it is A list of guiding questions per session, covering the subjects taught. Students should prepare lectures by reading the relevant materials and preparing the answers to those questions. It is intended to enable students to approach critique of geopolitical and strategic options. University of Beira Interior's Frequency and Knowledge Assessment Regulations, based on continuous assessment (translated into a frequency score). The elements taken into account for Frequency grade assignment is the active and relevant participation and the evaluation elements.
