Learning outcomes - Know the physical principles underlying the examinations of ocular fundus examination, tonometry and perimetry and their interpretation.
- To know the techniques of evaluation and the characteristics of pathologies of the ocular movements and pupillary reflexes.
- Perform the appropriate ocular exams for the pre and postoperative evaluation of a refractive surgery patient.
- Use the appropriate diagnostic eye medications to aid in refraction and ocular examination.
- Perform and interpret the necessary examinations for structural and functional evaluation of the adnexa, ocular structures and visual pathways.
- Integrate the communication of the possibility of ocular pathology to other health professionals, following the optometric examination, in order to participate in the prevention of public health risk.
