Learning outcomes The objectives of the course are: 1) provide students with knowledge on the state of the art economic policy; 2) provide detailed knowledge on economic policy theory; and 3) promote a deeper understanding of the decision-making process in economic policy.
The knowledge, skills and competences to be developed relate to: 1) understanding of the mechanisms and processes of economic policy, 2) ability to develop coherent economic discourse, and 3) building economic and financial decision-making capacity.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Topics of macroeconomic equilibrium and economic policy analysis are presented by the teacher during classes. Practical lectures include discussion of current reports, articles and issues relevant for the study of the particular topic in question. The final evaluation results from the weighted mark of two componentes: 1) 40% for the writing, presentation and discussion of an assignement relative to an economic policy topic; 2) 60% for a written test.
