Mode of delivery The classes in this course are theoretical-practical. In the theoretical classes the teacher expounds the theoretical concepts using the different pedagogical material available on the Moodle platform (e.g., slides, book chapters, case studies). The practical classes aim at applying the theoretical concepts taught, so students have to: i) solve practical exercises and ii) analyse and discuss scientific articles related to the contents taught.

Learning outcomes The CU aims to provide the students with the techniques and instruments used in the design, evaluation and
management of investment projects.
The module has as specific objectives are to provide the students: (1) with the knowledge of state of the art of project
design and evaluation; and (2) with a consistent view of design process, analysis, evaluation and management of
investment projects.
The module has as learning outcomes: (1) full understanding of project design and evaluation; (2) enabling students to develop a coherent economic discourse; (3) enabling students to do economic and financial decision-making; (4)
enabling students to detect investment opportunities and proceed with their implementation; (5) providing the students with tools, instruments and techniques of financial assessment of real assets; and (6) enabling students to submit projects of investment to systems of investment incentives.
