Learning outcomes The goal of the course is to develop the student's knowledge, skills and competences on scientific research methods in the context of school physical education.
So at the end of UC students should have acquired the following learning outcomes:
1. Being able to develop a critical analysis of educational research in the particular field of Physical Education;
2. Be able to develop research capacity in physical education, applying criteria, models, strategies, procedures and instruments appropriate to the study of the problem and address the ethical requirement of research in this field.
Syllabus 1. The context of educational research
1.1. Conceptual and critical approach to the positivist paradigm, interpretive and critical educational research;
1.2. The emerging model of complexity theory;
2. The planning of educational research
2.1. Ethics in educational research;
2.2. Problem identification: relevance and originality
2.2.1. The use of literature;
2.2.2. Models and methods of research in Physical Education;
2.2.3. Measurement strategies and data collection in Physical Education;
2.2.4. Planning of research and practical examples in the context of Physical Education
