Learning outcomes	Provide students with a detailed knowledge of the anatomy and ocular physiology of the posterior pole. At the end of this curricular unit the student should be able to describe and locate the structures associated with the posterior pole of the eyeball, recognize the anatomical and functional relationships between each and interrelate them. It should also be able to apply techniques of exploration of the posterior pole of the eyeball and optical pathways.
Syllabus	(1) Ocular embryology; (2) Choroid (3) Vitreous (4) Retina (5) Optic nerve (6) Visual pathways (7) Techniques of ocular exploration of the posterior pole (biomicroscopy, direct ophthalmoscopy, campimetry and pupillary reflexes).
