Learning outcomes	This course aims to develop and deepen the analytical and critical thought on design's contemporary products. In this manner promoting different methods of interpreting design, allowing a plural reflexion on both, design objects and the design field. Learning outcomes a) Thoroughly analyse and criticise design objects using multiple perspectives; b) Examine, understand and contextualise the contemporary production of design; c) To develop a critical voice on design and it's different implications d) Apply design criticism knowledge to a design project
Syllabus	1. The critical discussion of design and its objects; 2. Forms of critical analysis in design; Hermeneutics Semiotics Phenomenology Rhetoric 3. Critical perspectives Mediation Political Historical 4. Neutrality. Antagonistic feelings Why do objects work? Why don't objects work? Materiality and immateriality. Mediation 5. Relationship between Design and the Other: Inclusion / exclusion Freedom / oppression Peace / Violence 6. “The risk of change”
