Learning outcomes Learn the importance of CAD systems applied to the Fashion Industry (Textiles and Clothing).
Learn to apply the programs for simulation of constituent elements of a collection board: models, materials and products.
Knowing how to use in real context programs for creating collections and virtual storefronts.
Development of simple practical cases of garments with 3D presentation.
Learn how to manipulate bitmap images for digital print.
Understanding the selection of materials and digital printing conditions.
Syllabus 1-Introduction to CAD systems for Fashion (Textiles and Clothing). Fields of application and relative importance of CAD systems in creative and productive processes.
2-Creating vector drawings with Kaledo Style program. Vector construction of models of clothing. 3-Understanding the computer aided design of fabrics, knits and printed fabrics. Development of case studies with Kaledo Weave programs, Knit and Print.
4-Creation of models, materials and products in Kaledo Style program. Creation of collection boards and storefronts.
5-Understanding 3D simulation using Modaris 3D Prototyping.
6-Selection of textile substrates for digital printing. Definition of the parameters of printing. Printing treated images and patterns of garments.
