Learning outcomes Objectives:
• Understand the dynamics of opening, integration, and internationalization of the Portuguese Economy;
• Operationalize a set of concepts acquired in previously studied subjects, applied to the Portuguese economy and European economy; and
• Train to look for and deal with statistical information available about the Portuguese economy and European economy.

Competencies:
• Use of economic theory to analyze economic policies and their results;
• Reading and understanding of technical reports, sector studies, prospective studies, scenarios, and statistical and economic approaches;
• Conducting economic studies on the industry, foreign direct investment, innovation, entrepreneurship, industrial and spatial clusters, commerce, and the financial system.
