Learning outcomes	It is intended that throughout the semester students deepen a set of historical-artistic, iconographic and iconological notions, aiming at a deep understanding of the various artistic currents from the eighteenth century to the present day (the historical period called the Contemporary Age), and develop the necessary skills, in the field of knowledge and critical sense, to relate the influence of Art in the various historical-cultural expressions of contemporaneity.
Syllabus	An age of transformations; Transitions in the 20th century: from pictorial impression to body expression; The alliance between function, aesthetics and design; Wars and the impact on the arts; Post-war art and society; The century of the Ego and the death of the artistic object and of the author; Cybernetic society and emerging digital artistic expressions; The concept of gender in contemporary art.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria	In this CU, a theoretical-practical group work will be proposed, which will focus on the design of a portfolio (from the CU Drawing I) in digital format. The work will be prepared in groups, and must contain a descriptive report, which will explain all the procedures leading to the result. The work will be presented in a class context, in a presentation that cannot exceed 15 minutes. ONE assessment test will be carried out. The final grade will be calculated according to the following weighting: • Attendance – 10% • Group work – 60% • Assessment test – 30% Assessment Test: 29th May 2024.
