Learning outcomes This UC aims

1. in general terms

• develop and deepen the ability to critically analyze contemporary design production, according to the reasoning and aesthetic language

• provide different ways of interpreting industrial and multimedia design, allowing for plural reflection, both on objects and on the subject of aesthetics

2. in specific terms

• analyze design objects from the multiple perspectives of critical and aesthetic analysis

• examine, understand and contextualize the contemporary producer/author of design

• develop an aesthetic position on design objects

• at the end, the student must apply aesthetic knowledge and the execution of a reason of taste to the design practice of design

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The final classification of each student will result from the weighting of the following elements:

1. 1 Written Test of Frequency (final); 2. Oral and written presentation of a text on the object of the design, freely chosen, on a theme of the program - the oral presentation will take place in the context of a classroom and the written text is prepared in groups (of 4 students) and must not exceed the 2 pages;


Weighting: 1. 60%; 2. 40% (20% for the oral part and 20% for the written part)

2. The minimum teaching-learning classification is six (6) values.

3. The course has mandatory attendance of 75% of the total number of expected teaching hours.

4. In order to know the rules of academic integrity underlying the assessment activities, it is recommended to read the Code of Integrity of the University of Beira Interior.
