Learning outcomes |
The Stratification and Social Classes curricular unit questions a wide range of problems related to social inequality, making it in the light of the contributions of some of the classic authors of Sociology (Karl Marx, Max Weber), contributions that have continued in recent decades, mainly through works like Ralf Dahrendorf, Pierre Bourdieu or Erik Olin Wright. It will be a matter of having as background all the social change that has so clearly marked modern societies, with particular emphasis on the Portuguese case.
