Learning outcomes .To characterize the concept of "presence" as a symptom and perennial mark of the contemporary record;
. To make known some of the most influential theoretical perspectives in the logical space of Contemporary Thought;
. Identify and recognize the cultural challenges of contemporary thought (18th-19th century);
. To situate the diversity of thinkers, schools and currents in their multiple historical-cultural contexts;
. Accentuate its current cultural relevance;
Syllabus 1. Actuality / Contemporaneity; the concept of “presence” and the difference it can be drawn between actuality and contemporaneity; contemporaneity as effort to “replenish” the issues. Dominant vectors of the contemporary paradigm;
2. From an “idea of philosophy”: the possibility of syncretism as philosophical project; The relationship between science and philosophy and the triumph of freedom against the model of mechanistic determinism as some lines of approach to Antero's thinking;
3. Heterodoxy: the thesis of the effectiveness of evil and the notion of “reintegration into the Absolute” in Sampaio Bruno. The doctrine of the momentary degradation of spirit. “Evil” as an emanation that invites the altered spirit to approach a cosmic redemption. The suspicion cast on Enlightenment reason as a fundamental mark of the heterodoxy of thought by Sampaio Bruno.
