Code 13309
Year 1
Semester S2
ECTS Credits 6
Workload T(10H)/TP(20H)
Scientific area Sistemas de Informação Geográfica
Entry requirements This Curricular Unit aims to familiarize students with some advanced GIS capabilities by complementing the GIS I. It is the main objective to provide the students with autonomy to deepen the knowledge acquired in class, in order to be able to proceed with the automation, processing, acquisition and dissemination of GIS information. At the end of the CU, students should have acquired the following competencies, as well as the ability to autonomously deepen them: (a) Understand the fundamental concepts and techniques of process automation, use and preparation of GIS information in mobile equipment, analysis of information in webGIS systems, processing and visualization of 3D information. (b) Domain of GIS geoprocessing functionalities, namely: automation and mobile GIS. (c) Mastery of the basic 3D processing features.
Mode of delivery Face to Face (practical and laboratory classes).
Work placements Not applicable.
