Learning outcomes |
The objective of this course is to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of Physics that is useful in Medicine and involves the functioning of the human body and some of its organs. The aim is to associate knowledge of Physics with the different functions of the human body. Information given by doctors/professors of various medical specialties (Sprechstunde, Deutschlandfunk) is referred to in the context of the subjects taught in the course.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Two tests will be conducted throughout the course to assess, on the part of students and teachers, the degree of mastery of the subjects taught, as well as their creative application of the same. Practical assignments consist of recording measured values associated with each student's body; they are worth two points towards the final grade and must be completed by the date of the second test. Each test is worth 18 points. There are 65 activities. All of them must be completed. The results of the activities must be sent by email to the Professor (joaoppc@ubi.pt). If all activities are completed, 1 point will be added to the final grade. In addition to completing all the activities, if the results are introduced into the class's Excel spreadsheet, a second point will be added to the grade.
