Learning outcomes This subject aims that students:
a) acquire knowledge about the discourse of film criticism, and main associated issues;
b) develop a critical and reflective sense in the practice of film criticism.
Syllabus 1. Introduction: discourses on cinema:
Criticism vs Analysis of films. The question of interpretation.
2. The figure of the film critic.
3. The arguments of film criticism.
4. The critical potential of the audiovisual essay.
