Learning outcomes |
This course unit aims to convey the basic principles of human nutrition and the principles for planning and evaluating the diet of healthy individuals at different life stages and special physiological situations. At the end of this UC students should be able to: 1. Offering advice on the most common dietary errors and the principles of healthy eating 2. Offering advice on weight loss drugs 3. Analyze the existing evidence on the interest of so-called dietary supplements and functional foods in terms of efficacy, safety and price compared to the ethical drugs

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Two ways for assessment CONTINUOS EVALUATION (CE). Consists of 1) Multiple choice test that will correspond to 100% of the grade 2) The same test that will correspond to 50% of the grade and an oral presentation about nutraceutical products, from a list provided by the teacher, and discussion (50%). FINAL EVALUATION 1) Multiple choice test that will correspond to 100% of the grade
