Learning outcomes |
At the end of this unit the student must be able to: - Identify the differences between medicines, medical devices and cosmetics regarding general legal requirements, life cycle and scope of application; - Identify the functions, mode of action and technological characteristics of the main categories of cosmetics; - Analyze the composition, labelling and claims of a cosmetic product under a critical perspective considering the legal requirements of these products; - Correctly advise and promote the adequate use of cosmetics; - To identify the requirements and methods for product development, preparation, characterization and quality control of cosmetic products.
