Learning outcomes Knowing and understanding the specificity of different adventure, recreation and leisure sports. Knowing and mastering conceptual specific tools that allow students to apply the knowledge in training and learning situations of those sports.
Reveals knowledge and ability to:

1) understand and operate in different adventure, recreation and leisure sports, including its specificity and characteristics, its history, laws, rules and regulations;

2) apply methodological and pedagogical principles for intervention in different adventure, recreation and leisure sports, especially in the organization, management, intervening and evaluation of training and learning processes in those sports.
Syllabus Module I - Understanding of adventure, recreation and leisure sports
1) Analysis and understanding adventure, recreation and leisure sports:
- the open spaces sport activities model;
- the environment adaptation sport activities model.
2) The method: diagnosis - prescription - control.
3) Player-coach relationship.
4) The coach role.

Module I - Intervening in adventure, recreation and leisure sports
Study and practice of
1) ORIENTEERING
2) CLIMBING AND RAPPELLING
3) ARCHERY
4) PEDESTRIANISM
Based on the:
- Characterization, history and evolutionary perspective;
- Security and specific equipment;
- Basic techniques;
- The teaching and learning of those activities;
- Construction, development and operation of training / learning sessions.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The classes are theorical (T), which uses the expository and reflective method of the support content to understanding of various adventure, recreation and leisure sports, and are also theorical-practical (TP) with an experiential and supervised resource with a view to technical execution and management of problematic situations. The Assessment will include a written assessment of the theoretical contents and an individual practical assessment of the technical skills developed in some modalities such as orienteering, climbing and rappelling.
