Learning outcomes At the end of the curricular unit the student should be able 1 – to identify and to characterize key elements of the history of medicine; 2 – to explain the meaning of "The Art of Medicine"; 3 – to evaluate different approaches to pain and suffering in medical exercise; 4 – to relate the medical profession with ethical principles and values; 5 – to reflect on ethical problems arising from research and related to medical practice; 6 – to recognize the importance of interdisciplinary work to a better understanding of human being.
