Semester A1
ECTS Credits 6
Workload OT(32H)/PL(12H)/S(10H)
Scientific area Morphological and Functional Sciences
Entry requirements Not appliable.
Learning outcomes The UC aims to study the anatomy and histophysiology of the nephro-urinary and reproductive systems, in an integrated perspective.
At the end of UC the student should be able to:
Describe the anatomy and histology of nephro-urinary and reproductive organs
Explain the different functions of the kidney and the micturition process
Explain the function of reproductive organs
Characterize the regulation of male and female reproductive physiology
Characterize puberty
Describe the sexual act
Explain the processes of fertilization, implantation, and placental function
Characterize the physiology of pregnancy, childbirth and lactation
Characterize the changes associated with menopause and climacteric
Apply knowledge in problem solving
Demonstrate ability to work as a team
Synthesize information and present it orally.
