Learning outcomes To give knowledge in the more recent technologies for the water treatment for human consumption, drainage, treatment and reuse of wastewater and valorisation of sludge from waters treatment.
Skills to be developed:
a) - Identify and know the more advanced technologies for water and wastewater treatment and valorisation of sludges;
b) - Understand the mechanisms of pollutants removal and the type of hydraulic flow in water systems;
c) - Know how to select the most appropriate procedures for waters reuse and sludge vlorisation;
d) - Know how to setup procedures for the implementation of strategies for operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of water infrastructures.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria This curricular unit is taught in a tutorial mode, with contents presentation for chapters 1 to 4, and the student must solve problems through experimental work, or with the application of mathematical models, and present a final report or technical-scientific article. The evaluation is based on the written piece.
