Learning outcomes	This curricular unit is an optional subject that intends to transmit advanced knowledge in the area of road materials. The overall objective is to consolidate and deepen knowledge in the field of paving materials characterization and their modeling. The following competencies will be developed: a) Ability on the state of the art research in Road Paving Materials b) Knowledge of the main deformation and fatigue mechanisms of bituminous materials c) Ability of the procedures of physical modeling of road paving materials d) Knowledge of the numerical tools required for road paving materials modeling
