Learning outcomes |
Acquisition of basic, theoretical and practical knowledge of Physics, namely Mechanics, and Vibrations and Waves, for the understanding of important physical phenomena for an applied aspect of Mathematics.
At the end of the Curricular Unit, the student should be able to analyze, understand and mathematically describe some basic phenomena of Mechanics, Vibrations and Waves. Consequently, you will be able to apply its basic principles in the description and discussion of a physical experience relevant to Applied Mathematics.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Theoretical classes of oral exposition using audiovisual means. Theoretical-practical classes of oral and written exposition, with the resolution of problems where student participation is strongly encouraged.
Final assessment of the Curricular Unit will consist of a specific component, which consists of two written tests, with equal weight, with questions focusing on the subjects taught in class.
