Learning outcomes |
This UC has the following objectives: - Allow students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to address the prevalent health problems in General and Family Medicine and its context of practice, in particular cardiovascular, digestive, endocrinological, respiratory and locomotor problems. - Allow students to acquire the necessary skills to carry out a patient-centered consultation according to the General and Family Medicine Consultation model. - Allow students to know how to make records in an appointment through the Problem Oriented Medical Record, with appropriate SOAP progressive clinical notes and coding with the ICPC Classification. - Allow students to acquire communication skills with the person. - Allow students to come into contact with the concepts of Ethics and Quaternary and Quinquennial Prevention; describe and use knowledge of clinical management of Multimorbidity and Polypharmacotherapy, Person-Centered Medicine and Chronic Pain Therapy.

Syllabus |
1. Consultation in a Family Medicine / General Practice environment according to the SOAP method and ICPC classification. 2. Child and Youth Health Program and National Vaccination Plan. 3. Most common pediatric, musculoskeletal, ENT, neurological, dermatological, ophthalmological and mental health diseases in the scope of General and Family Medicine: signs and symptoms, risk factors, preventive attitudes, complementary diagnostic tests, referral criteria and therapies. 4. Empathy, Multimorbidity, Polypharmacotherapy and Quaternary and Quinquennial Prevention. 5. Adequate management of chronic pain.
