The UC Elements of Student Choice integrates the Oncology Course, Palliative Medicine Course, and Optional Courses. The learning objectives of this Course Unit are: 1. Allow students to further their training in areas of student interest. Although these areas are partially covered in different clinical blocks, the courses allow for a deeper knowledge of each area and to obtain an integrated view of what was previously learned in the blocks. 2. Demonstrate reasoning ability based on acquired knowledge and its relationship with the clinic in a holistic approach. 3. Develop the ability to work as a team in solving problems and acquiring knowledge as well as the creative and critical capacity for clinical activity and clinical research.
