Learning outcomes |
Emerging technological developments, which have a strong impact on the aeronautical industry, pose a permanent challenge to Infrastructure, Operations and Air Transport Systems. By framing this reality in a systemic way, Aircraft Operation aims to develop in students, on the one hand, critical reasoning around the subject and, on the other, the skills that allow them to make the most appropriate options when faced with decision-making processes in real scenarios.
If, on the one hand, air safety (Safety) has always been one of the components that has been given the most importance in aircraft performance, on the other hand, the recent past has shown to satiety that the safety (Security) of support infrastructures in Earth. Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Teaching Methodology: the classes are of a theoretical-practical nature using the analysis of case studies that facilitate the understanding of the exposed subject. It is also foreseen the distribution to students of diverse supporting documentation. Student’s Assessment: the process consists of a single evaluation moment, the Frequency and / or the Exam, graded on a scale of 0-20 values. There is no minimum grade for admission to the Exam, and students can use the Exam to improve the classification obtained by Frequency - always counting the best classification of both moments of assessment. The student will have approval in the UC as long as he / she obtains a classification equal to or higher than 9.5 values. During the semester there is no attendance control.
