Learning outcomes The syllabus aims to provide students with fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge for the analysis and implementation of integrated production solutions based on renewable sources and electrical energy storage. It offers a broad and up-to-date overview of the different electrical energy storage technologies available on the market and frames them within energy production from renewable sources.
It also seeks to equip students with the necessary skills to carry out the sizing, planning, and optimal management of such systems.
Syllabus M1 – Fundamental Concepts
– Renewable energy and sustainable development;
– Importance of electrical energy storage in the current context.

M2 – Renewable Electricity Generation
– Photovoltaic generation;
– Wind power generation;
– Hydropower generation;
– Hybrid generation.

M3 – Electrical Energy Storage
– Electrochemical energy storage;
– Electrostatic energy storage;
– Hybrid energy storage.

M4 – Switched Power Electronic Conversion Topologies
– Unidirectional and bidirectional DC-DC conversion topologies;
– Control and DC-AC conversion topologies.

M5 – Sizing, Planning, and Operation Management
– Sizing methodologies;
– Optimized planning and management methodologies.
