Learning outcomes |
The Foreign Policy and Diplomacy (UC) curriculum unit provides students with a global overview of the foreign relations of nations and the dynamics of international diplomacy.
Among other things, students are exposed to diverse knowledge of the two central areas of UC [foreign policy and diplomacy], including key theories and concepts, practices and scholarly approaches to various topics in order to develop critical and analytical skills.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Initially, the program contents will be presented in the form of lectures (expository classes), which seek to provide students with theoretical concepts and knowledge on the themes indicated in the programs.
Integrated into the first moment, case studies will be indicated, serving as an illustration of the topics taught, followed by debate.
Secondly, a laboratory for the analysis of scientific articles is developed (practical classes), which are presented and critically debated by students.
Assessment:
Test 1 – 40% [8 points] Test 2 – 40% [8 points] Scientific articles laboratory: presentation/reflection/debate/participation 20% [4 points]
Erasmus students: paper presentation (40%) and final essay (60%)
