Learning outcomes It is intended with this Curriculum Unit that @s alun@s can know and understand, the historical, cultural, social, and political aspects of the Portuguese Society.

3.The Portuguese Territory: Local and Global Perspectives.
4.Principal demographic changes in Portugal in the 20th century.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Classes present a theoretical component and a practical component, in order to present and debate the different topics of the program.
Students will be requested a reflective and analytical participation, while performing weekly task, in a classroom context, and as a group, as part of the development of a project. Students will share the knowledge and results of their research in the form of presentations, over the semester, about what they find out about Portuguese reality.
At the end of the semester, they write a reflective essay on what they learned about Portuguese society.
All tasks are performed as a group, with the exception of the reflective assay, which is individual.
The topics of projects focus on economic activities, cultural activities and historical political of Portugal. Each group should choose a theme to develop in their project.
Discipline dispenses for examination to carry out.
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
