Learning outcomes |
The main objective of the dissertation is the execution of a work that integrates and applies mathematical knowledge.
It is intended to develop the skills of: - research, organization and planning; - perform scientific research; - apply and relate different subjects; - written and oral communication and argumentation.

The syllabus are those contained in the dissertation plan proposed by the supervisor appointed by the Scientific Committee of the Course and concerted with the student.

Main Bibliography |
The bibliography used in this course unit (scientific articles and books) depends on the Dissertation theme chosen by the student. It is initially recommended by the supervisor, and can be expanded based on the research carried out throughout the work.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The curricular unit works on a tutorial basis, with periodic meetings being held between the student and the supervisor. Individual work, monitored by the supervisor, will be privileged in the planning, in the study and in the writing of the dissertation to be presented and discussed.
The assessment of the curricular unit will be carried out through the oral presentation and public defense of the Dissertation, by a jury proposed by the Scientific Committee of the Course and that includes the supervisor.
