Learning outcomes This Curricular Unit (CU) is intended to complement and deepen, with a practical / operational nature, the activity of the Physical Education Teacher in three major areas:
1. Teaching-Learning Organization and Management;
2. Participation in the School and Relationship with the Community and;
3. Professional Development.
Syllabus 1. Teaching-Learning Organization and Management:
1.1. Regulations and Physical Education Programs;
1.2. Planning and Intervention in Physical Education;
1.3. Management of Indiscipline and Conflicts in the Classroom.
2. Participation in the School and Community Relations:
2.1. The School and Challenges of the Future;
2.2. The exercise of different functions at the School (department coordination, facility management, class management, management);
2.3. The role of Physical Education in the Pedagogical Curriculum;
2.4. Physical Education in the School Context;
2.5. School Sports;
2.6. Development of School Projects.
3. Professional Development:
3.1. Acquisition of Professional Skills (ethics, reflective practice, continuous training);
3.2. The Role of the Teacher in the Educational Context.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Teaching methodologies include theoretical-practical classes (TP) and Seminars (S) with the participation of guests. In TP classes, the main syllabus contents will be addressed through the study and analysis of reference and support materials and documents. The Seminars will be moments where the participation of guests, personalities with knowledge and experience in some of the syllabus contents, seeking to promote an enriching sharing of concrete applied situations in order to complement the students' training. The assessment will focus on knowledge, understanding and application, critical analysis, effective communication and performance skills.
